I took a break from my job as an education reporter at the Washington Post to live in Seoul, Korea for five months and learn about a very different education culture. With the help of a Fulbright research fellowship, I have a chance to visit schools, meet with teachers and parents and union activists and politicians -- and I get to eat lots of kimchi and bibimbap and hike some beautiful mountains along the way.
